Forum III: More Action in Climate Protection?
Room: Atrium
Language:
In German and English with simultaneous interpretation
Background
In order to prevent dangerous climate change, the global rise in temperature must be limited to less than 2 degrees C. Although there are many encouraging examples of action by governments, companies, communities and individual citizens, the political will to overcome the challenge has been insufficient thus far.
Do we need a new wave of mobilization for climate protection to generate this political will? What has been the experience with climate campaigns in other countries? Do we need an international climate campaign? And how do things look here in Germany? These questions will guide the discussion during this forum. The mobilization campaigns "Stop Climate Chaos" in Great Britain and "Hier" in the Netherlands will be introduced as examples.
