Sept. 1998 - August 2002 : DG RESEARCH, Unit D 2 BRUSSELS, SDME 8 Principal Scientific Officer- Co-ordinator of the STRATA-ETAN expert working group benchmarking Human Resources in RTD.- Panel Co-ordinator for Physics Panel: Individual Fellowships & Scientific officer responsible for the assessment of scientific work carried out by Marie Curie Fellows.- Organisation of series of interdisciplinary scientific workshops with fellows as part of fellowship monitoring. This new initiative is still ongoing.

Jan. 1990 - Aug. 1998 : JET JOINT UNDERTAKING ABINGDON, OXON., OX14 3EA, UK Leader of Analytic Theory Group in Data Analysis and Modelling Division- My responsibility was to define the programme of the Analytic Theory Group, to develop analytic and numerical models and to apply plasma theory to JET experiments. It included the organisation and application of large-scale computer codes.- I have supervised students in their work for obtaining a master and a PhD degree at European Universities and acted as External Promoter of a PhD thesis at the Universities of Munich, Leuven, Amsterdam, Utrecht and Lisbon.- Collaboration between JET and European Associations, with IFS Texas, US, Princeton University, US and Kurchatov Institute, Moscow, Russia.- Associate Editor of the Journal of Computational Physics (1987 through 1995).
